Scavenger Hunt - #OptimusLife

OPTIMUS SEARCH 23rd October 2017

At Optimus Search, we firmly believe that only by working as a cohesive and united team can we truly look to achieve our ambitious business goals. That’s why whenever we get the chance…OK excuse… to treat our dedicated members of staff, we absolutely jump on it.

Our social calendar is packed with a variety of ‘team-building’ days throughout the year, of which the latest edition came in the form of a Scavenger hunt around the streets of London.

The Event:

On Friday last week each and every member of Optimus Search staff, across both sales and support services, teamed up in groups of 5 and were issued with the latest iPad Mini Tablet before being sent out onto the streets of London to undertake a wide range of high-tech and interactive activities.

Each tablet was loaded with a GPS app which not only fed a live leaderboard for real-time updates on who was jostling for the top position, but also tracked where each of the teams were and allowed them to capture/share daft pictures of each other on the day – some of the best of which have been included below.

The GPS also displayed the location of teams throughout the day and highlighted those individuals that thought activities were supposed to take place in each and every watering hole en route!

With 8 solid gold medals (OK, you guessed it they weren’t real gold) and more importantly ‘Bragging Rights’ up for grabs, our intrepid team of explorers ventured off to complete their missions!

The missions took teams to a variety of locations around Soho and generally involved a mixture of random questions and practical tasks such as dancing the conga down Oxford Street, getting a group photo playing air guitars, taking a celebrity selfie and  ‘sharing a holiday snap’ with the other teams, to name a few.

The winners announced:

After a hard fought and contentious battle at the top of the leaderboard, all teams congregated at MI5 (OK, OK..the pub) where the aptly named “Little Irish Travellers’ came out victorious, scoring an impressive 423 points and claiming the title of Optimus Private Dicks – 2017.

Nigel Livingston (MD) commented:

“Our Team Building days are not only a great way to let off some well-deserved steam but they are also a brilliant opportunity to bring the whole company together and thank them for their continued hard work and commitment.

We also appreciate that recruitment can be a very challenging industry, often with long and unsociable hours, so treating our staff to impromptu days out such as this, during a traditional working day is a great way of balancing this out. We are already looking forward to the next instalment!

If you are interested in working for a vibrant and progressive recruitment company, who appreciate and reward their staff…then look no further.
