Started as a small family business 16 years ago by Nigel and Neil Livingston, Optimus Search has grown to become at the forefront of German STEM recruitment: We are proud to be a household name in the thriving technology talent market.
Over time, we have refined our processes and developed our exceptional people to become premium service providers to some of the biggest and most successful companies in Germany, facilitating high-growth sprints and bespoke, high-level individual hires.
Our growth has continued in line with the values of family. We are proud that the whole company, including our management team, has been grown organically from people hired at junior level. It’s an overused phrase in the corporate world, but we really do see Optimus as one big family.
We now enter our next growth phase: ‘Optimus 3.0’. Our journey from 2 people in suburban Southwest London was Optimus 1.0, and the 8 year, high-growth period since we relocated to Central London, Optimus 2.0, has seen us listed in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, and also the Recruiter Hot 100 three years running.

We don’t actively hire in managers and prefer to go for a home-grown approach. In fact, all of our managers started with us as trainees, so you can expect your development to continue at a fast pace in your first 1-2 years with the company.
